Cape Grim Scotch Fillet steak sandwich with Dijon mustard, wild rocket and caramelised onion
Roast Port Roll with Rocket and Apple Sauce
Wagyu Beef Burger
Chocolate milk shake
The first thing we ate was the Steak Sandwich, it was so impressive that we went back 2 days later to try the Roast Pork Roll and Wagyu Beef Burger.
Steak Sandwich remains the standout. The other two were ok but not very impressive (brought the score from 7.5 down to 7).
The milkshake is fairly average but still decent (and $4.50 not $7).
Streak sandwich is no nonsense - It doesn't have an overly strong steak flavour but that's scotch fillet for you it never does (we've done a test where we cooked scotch fillet and sirloin and ate both in the same sitting to compare).
Well cooked, juicy and soft steak. They basically give you a whole steak on a good quality roll with the other condiments. We gave away a quarter of the sandwich to our eating buddy and still managed to be full.
With the steak selling at $46 per kilo this seems great value at $12.
Burger was ok but probably needs a more bitey cheese. Roast pork roll also ok, possibly tastier than the burger but dry in parts.
