Probably the smallest queue for Shake Shack in NYC and the furthest possible food outlet in the B gate section.
We thought we'd give them one last chance.
Looking around, the usual burgers still looked a bit oily so tried a Shakargo dog and a 'Shroom burger. We also managed to correctly order a shake this time.
This one was better than Washington, they managed to toast the bun properly (reducing much of the oiliness that we didn't like in the DC one).
'Shroom burger is ok, deep fried cheese filled mushroom.
Hot dog salty.
Shake? Pretty sweet and tasted exactly like the custard (no surprises there) but decent.
Overall better than DC, still not spectacular but probably your best choice in airport food.
Having done no prior research on Shake Shack, on the flight to LAX we found out despite it's cool independent image Shake Shack is part of a restaurant group that includes Gramercy tavern (which we didn't eat at but wanted to frequent)
