Price: Cheap but not too cheap
Overall pretty good.
The menu doesn't show pasta for some reason but they do sell it.
Like Cavallino, Sale Pepe is supposedly what's called "Italiano" style pizza. Different from the Napoletana (a.k.a. Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana a.k.a. "The Associazione" that we've referred to for Via Napoli and Il Canale). What's the difference? With the "Italiano" style pizza (at least in Sale Pepe's case), the crust is thin but slightly crisper where Napoletana is more chewy.
Pizzas were nice, perhaps a little salty.
Pasta was well cooked, perhaps a little heavy on the cheese/starch for the sauce
Tiramisu (not pictured) slightly small for $12 but good marscapone and suspected meringue mixture, Via Napoli's is probably better value but this is good if you can't be bothered to go to Lane Cove .
