Green tea parfait
If one is going to call their shop L'eclair, L'eclair better be good. This one was a step below OK on the day, funnily it was better the next day but still not spectacular.
Anyway, this is the second eclair we've eaten, the first one was when they first opened years ago. So we wondered how they stayed open and now we know.
It's not for the parfait which was ok but again fairly meh. Chanoma's in the city is much nicer.
L'eclair's secret is their Japanese style cakes. Japan and Korea have amazing cream on their cakes. We don't know what they do to it but it's great. Lighter, fluffier and happier. Pumpkin cake was good, we haven't been to Japan for 15 years but it was the same cream we remember (and similar to cakes from Korea).
Tip: sandwiches here are boring. Better off getting a pie or something if you want something savoury.
