Saw a line at 6.30 when checking in to our hotel, still a line at 7.30 when venturing out and after an unsuccessful hour thought we should play it safe and go to the line.
Turns out it's a really popular place.
Noodles had more 'bite' than what we are used to from Sydney, almost like what you'd feel when eating the much thicker Chinese egg noodles (in Italian it'd be al dente). We have a feeling that this is what ramen should feel like.
Soup was very good, possessing the 'clarity' that we raved about in our Ippudo post.
Crab Cream Croquettes could be given a miss, nice but Rahmen Genki's in Sydney was better.
1) no Japanese diners (although the sushi chef was an elderly Japanese guy)
2) menu says 'msg added' we don't know if this a required US disclosure thing, a typo or the truth
Despite these, we'd go back.
