Price: OK, (High for Singapore - $50 per person...ok that's expensive for dessert in AU too)
Cacao Forest - earl grey bergamot chocolate mousse, fruits of the forest and cherry, crème de cacao liqueur, caramel fudge cake, vanilla whisky ice cream, cotton candy
Apple Gold - green apple bombe, basil foam, herb granita, sea grapes
Cassis Plum - cassis bombe, elderflower yoghurt foam, choya granita, yuzu pearls, yuzu rubies
The chocolate one was pretty good despite the cotton candy adding no value and having nothing on Sepia's Chocolate Forest let alone Guillaume's Berries
Cassis plum was ok not stand out enough to be signature. Bathers does a similar dessert in a much more satisfying manner.
In fairness we were told the apple was similar to the Cassis plum but we didn't expect it would be exactly the same but with apple.
We're not sure how Janice Wong became so renowned. It wasn't evident in this visit.
The menu reads like a refusal to focus on what's current. There are so many options on the menu they are either not hard to do, sitting around in storage or are the same element used in different dishes.
