Price: OK / Slightly High
Service: Unorthodox but pass when you get used to them
Score: Instant fail for charging for pretzels and not having a price on the menu. If you can get over that (or don't have the pretzels) 6.5/10
We were tipped off that the pork knuckle was really soft here. It's lucky we don't eat with our eyes...although other people's sharing plates were presented in a much neater manner.
Sharing plate - $40 all up for two of these. Good value quantity wise even if the menu said $38, not awesome quality wise (or because they mashed everything together some parts got soggy).
Pretzel was good with the $3
Strudel pastry was soft and strudel itself over heated. Should be an instant fail for a Bavarian place that can't do strudel...suckered by the specials yet again.
Wine list is literally a book. Probably 30+ A4 pages of wine by the bottle. None that cheap. Ordered wine by the glass (took a gamble because no price) and ended up with a decent wine at $12 for the glass (the wine they give by the glass probably depends on how much they like you but they do seem to know their wines).
We would recommend the steak (for some reason there was a tiny sliver of something like a braised steak on the patter) or pork knuckle. Both were on the tasting plate and both impressively soft (although knuckle skin wasn't very crispy)
