Overall a satisfying meal good entrée, dipped during mains and rose during dessert.
Entrees very good. Scallops have a strong frois gras flavour and dehydrated raspberry is a nice touch, quite similar in concept to Guillaume Zika's entrée last year.
Pork cheek hearty and fulfilling (even if the photo looks a bit like fish - that was ZL's not AH's photo)
Beef was pretty good but a little on the chewy side. Outside of the steak was a little dry. Perhaps restaurants should go back to sous vide-ing everything like they used to.
We feel mislead. Menu definitely says "Bugs" plural but this came with one bug. Fish was 2 good chunky pieces, sword ink brioche and clam reduction (on the side) were good. The shellfish broth was shellfishy but probably a bit overkill since there were already so many seafood elements. Mulloway would've been a better choice.
Dessert pulled them up again.
Excellent cake imaginative and the olives and olive sorbet were put to good use - shame it's not on the regular menu any more.
Cardimon dessert tasty, goats cheese dessert tasty. Apple dessert tasty and the most refreshing.
One of the party described the desserts as video game levels
Apple - beginner
Cardimon - intermediate
Goats cheese - hard
Great chocolate, honeycomb and herbed salt Petit four
