Price: High (but free on this visit)
Went for free so no complaints but did leave feeling a little underwhelmed. So many ingredients and so much effort, it feels like it should taste even better.
All the dishes tasted good and all were high quality, good technique and well executed but we felt Sepia didn't hit it's stride this time. It wasn't a hearty solid meal but also not an avant-garde/pushing the boundaries meal either.
We'll hopefully be back in under a month with AH as our guide so maybe his sway will bring out the good stuff (but he says his sway doesn't work for groups...so convenient).
Honey bugs - like a morton bay bug, pretty good
Wagyu - reminded us of pork maki (Japanese disk) but a beef version
Chocolate forest - good but could probably scale back on the variety of ingredients. A number of people on the table said it was too full on.
