Price: Cheap/Cheap but not too cheap
Visit one: Pulled pork sandwich and Key Lime Tart (test dessert)
Visit two: Hershey Bomb and Pecan Pie
We really liked Blue Plate's predecessor "South" (we may have said that before) - really ahead of the curve ribs and pulled pork sandwiches years before the current inundation. Blue Plate doesn't have the same feel but it's decent. Worth going if the specials are available e.g. almost 50% off for Pulled Pork Sandwich or all you can eat ribs.
The trial Key Lime Pie was ok but thin on the custard which we told them and they said another customer said the same.
During our visits both the Hershey Bomb and Pecan Pie tasted like they'd been left out for a while...like a week. We expect better.
