Dessert - Rhubarb and pistachio cake, rose panna cotta, whipped rhubarb, parsley gel
- Mandarin creme caramel, mandarin sorbet, citrus fruit salad, toasted meringue
$75 for 3 courses in a 2 hat restaurant is a good price but it seemed Aubergine peaked at entree. Mains were fine but not spectacular with smoked potato the only memorable element. Dessert? I don't know what they were thinking with the rhubarb and pistachio one...the rose panna cotta was ok but the cakes tasted like meh, parsley jelly was odd and whipped rhubarb a fail. The mandarin dessert was probably the highlight. Solid but maybe not 2 hats based on this sitting and stay away from the rhubarb and pistachio.
