Ate: Pictured + beef (not pictured)
Tasty. Good, tasty, old style bombe
Mains were good, 1/4 of the beef was too hard from being overcooked.
Free macrons thanks to the overcooked beef = great service.
Hot chocolate not spectacular.
Ate: Crème Brulee (left)
So on the way we had a discussion about the importance of service with a friend. We're quite tolerant overall but there's a line drawn depending on the price paid. We include consistency from the kitchen in this.
Baroque went so far past the line that they fell off the cliff on this occassion.
Yes they did almost give one of a dining party anaphylactic shock by feeding them nuts but luckily another one of our team made sure the waitress made a note. A few minutes later someone else came out to say there were nuts.
That aside for the price the creme brulee lacked polish and vanilla.
Final failure point was the costing lack of consistency between our visit and a friend's visit 2 days before.
