Service: Pass (after the fact "fail" - we thought they didn't offer us a dessert menu because they didn't have one...we just found out they do...)
This place is recommended (by us) place to go.
Still digesting the overly oily Shake Shack burger, frozen custard and Georgetown ice cream, we almost didn't eat dinner.
But we thought since we're in Georgetown we should eat something. And lucky we did, the best meal so far.
Yelp worked in Georgetown (it didn't work do well in DC and NYC) and pointed us in the direction of Il Canali.
We went wondering if we could finish a while pizza despite feeling relatively full.
To our surprise it was a member of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana but we didn't want to get too excited because we've been to other members of the Associazione in Australia and they have disappointed.
These guys do the associazione proud. The tomato sauce not quite Italian but still good. The crust and everything else were great, not too salty. We finished the pizza easily. The salad was simple but good and unlike Australian pizza places, generous.
